1
Understand your menstrual cycle
Gain deep insights into your menstrual cycle. You will learn how different hormones influence your cycle and can detect irregularities at an early stage.
2
Identify symptoms and address them accordingly
Understand how hormones can affect your overall health. Explore potential causes behind symptoms such as fatigue, weight gain, mood swings or hair loss.
3
Prevent diseases at an early stage
Identify potential risks for diseases such as osteoporosis, diabetes, PCOS or thyroid disorders at an early stage. Take preventive action, especially during the peri- and postmenopause.
Estradiol
It is the most important among female sex hormone and it is produced by the ovaries. It is centrally involved in ovulation and other functions, playing an important role in bone and vascular health.
Follicle-stimulating Hormone (FSH)
A control hormone produced by the pituitary gland that regulates the maturation of ovarian follicles and the cyclization of sex hormones.
Luteinizing hormone (LH)
It is also a control hormone of the pituitary gland, that leads to the maturation and stimulation of the follicle. In the ovulation phase, a rise of LH causes the release of a mature egg cell for fertilization.
Prolactin
Produced by the pituitary gland, it is responsible for breast growth and milk production during and after pregnancy. It is used for diagnostics in the event of deficiencies in other measured hormones.
DHEA-S
DHEAS is primarily a male sex hormone produced by the adrenal glands, but it is also produced in small amounts by the ovaries. It is a precursor to estrogen and testosterone and helps in diagnosis.
Total testosterone
It is primarily a male hormone but also vital for women's health as it regulates energy, athletic performance, muscle mass, bone density, mood, and libido.
Free testosterone
It is measured in addition to total testosterone to detect further testosterone deficiency and diagnose conditions such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), hypogonadism, or adrenal gland disorders.
Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG)
SHBG is a liver-produced protein that binds to sex hormones like estrogen and testosterone. It manages hormone levels, supports reproductive and metabolic health, and maintains bone health in women.
Albumin
The biomarker albumin helps to calculate the proportion of freely available testosterone in the blood. This is important because free testosterone is the active form of the hormone.
Make sure that you are not using hormonal contraception and that you have had two normal menstrual cycles
Hormonal contraception can alter the natural levels of these hormones, interfere with accurate result interpretation, and prevent a proper diagnosis of reproductive and endocrine health issues.
The blood sample must be taken between the 2nd and 5th day of your period
This applies to regular 28-day cycles. For other cycles: cycle length minus 5 or plus 7 days. The first day of the cycle is when the bleeding starts normally (no spotting).
