1
Understand hormonal changes and its influence in the luteal phase
The luteal phase occurs after ovulation and supports early pregnancy. Testing progesterone and estradiol post-ovulation helps detect hormonal imbalances, such as estrogen dominance, which might cause irregular cycles, PMS symptoms, and fertility issues, ultimately affecting overall reproductive health.
2
Monitor menopause and post-menopause hormonal effects
Manage menopause symptoms and guide decisions about Hormone Replacement Therapy (if needed). Monitor hormonal imbalances post-menopause and find strategies to improve your overall health, particularly bone density and cardiovascular health.
Estradiol
It is the most important among female sex hormone and it is produced by the ovaries. It is centrally involved in ovulation and other functions, playing an important role in bone and vascular health.
Progesterone
Progesterone, a key female hormone, prepares the uterus for pregnancy, regulates the menstrual cycle, and plays a vital role in fertility and menopause.
1
Gynecological history and female health goals
The first step is to look together at your gynecological form to get a full picture of your female health, as well as discuss your goals and expectations.
2
Detailed explanation of your results and how they reflect your symptoms
The focus will be on your estradiol and progesterone levels during the luteal phase, how these levels correspond to your symptoms, and how they relate to your life stage - whether you are planning a pregnancy, going through perimenopause, menopause, or post-menopause.
3
Medical and lifestyle advice with supplementation guidance
Specific advice to improve out of range biomarkers and referral to a doctor if you get diagnosed with a medical condition. Lifestyle recommendations on how to minimize symptoms of conditions such as PMS, migraines or other.
Make sure that you are not using hormonal contraception and that you have had two normal menstrual cycles
Hormonal contraception can alter the natural levels of these hormones, interfere with accurate result interpretation, and prevent a proper diagnosis of reproductive and endocrine health issues.
The blood sample must be taken close to the day 21 of the menstrual cycle
This applies to regular 28-day cycles. For other cycles: cycle length minus 5 or plus 7 days. The first day of the cycle is when the bleeding starts normally (no spotting).
